OSHA Compliant Portable Guardrail Systems

PORTABLE GUARD RAIL™ (PGR-M) is versatile, affordable fall protection equipment. Unlike most guardrail fall protection systems requiring attachment to a structure or approved engineered attachment points, guard railing from Diversified is "free standing", portable, or, if you prefer, a permanent modular guardrail system. Portable Guard Rail does not require drilling, special fasteners, or attachment to any structure in approved applications. Best of all, our OSHA compliant portable guard railing is delivered almost totally assembled, available in modular sections of 6', 8', or 10' long.

Portable Guard Rail (PGR-M) Versus The Competition

Portable Guard Rail is safer and lighter than most comparable fall protection systems. Other railing systems have larger spacing between each railing, and heavier bases weighing 100 pounds and more as compared to PGR-M. The real considerations when purchasing guard railing are safety and the weight they apply to specific applications.

One of the major uses of portable railing systems is perimeter guarding along the edges of roof tops. Prudent buyers recognize that because of the wider spaces between each rail, they are buying "AIR." Furthermore, most engineers would agree; the less weight you place on a roof structure, the better. Roofs are designed for wind, rain and snow loads, not the addition of hundreds of extra pounds of steel.

Competitor PGR-M

PGR-M base plates weigh approximately 40% less than the competition. For a detailed side-by-side comparison against the competition, see the chart below.

Company Installation Length Rail Length Weight
Diversified Fall Protection 500 Lineal Feet 10 Feet 5,536 lbs
Competitor A 500 Lineal Feet 10 Feet 6,431 lbs
Competitor B 500 Lineal Feet 10 Feet 6,900 lbs

Permanent Guardrail

DFP also manufactures and installs permanent guardrail for situations where portable guardrail is not suitable. If your fall protection application involves any of the following, ask DFP about permanent guardrail:

Whether your fall protection needs require portable or permanent guardrail, DFP can provide the perfect solution for your specific application.
