OSHA Cell Phone Tower Fall Protection Enforcement

Last month, we did a post on the rising number of fatal falls sustained by workers in the cell phone tower industry. ¬†OSHA is stepping up outreach and enforcement efforts in an attempt to encourage use of fall protection equipment and to stem the tide of worker fatalities. ¬†Sadly, OSHA’s push to create safer working conditions failed to save the life of 25 year old man who was fatally injured when he fell 50 feet from a communications tower last fall near Witchita, Kansas.
