Image - DFP Celebrates 20 Years 2Every year, falls are among the most common causes of serious work related injuries and even deaths.  Though many employers are unaware of their safety obligations in regards to fall protection, specifically working at heights, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) estimates that 12 deaths occur each day. And from those work-related fatalities, 19% occurred in construction; of which, the leading cause of worker deaths on construction sites were falls.

As Diversified Fall Protection (DFP) reflects on its 20th year in operation, we consider the number of lives we have saved as a direct result of the hundreds of Fall Protection Solutions we have installed. Though we install other systems and applications, “it’s our customized approach to design engineering and respect for our client’s culture that maximizes the use and efficiency of our Fall Protection Solutions”, says Matt Pittner, Regional Manager of Engineered Fall Protection Systems. “The relationship we develop with our clients is a rare one…it’s based on trust and it’s based on loyalty…they [rely on us] and place their trust in DFP to install systems that keep them protected from regulatory bodies; but most importantly, they [want] to protect their employees.”

With the responsibility to keep your workforce safe and have them operating within regulation, and operating at maximum efficiency, many of our clients request a Fall Hazard Survey. Specifically designed with regulation in mind, a Fall Hazard Survey is a comprehensive plan initiated by DFP which explores your organization’s fall avoidance, fall prevention, fall protection, fall arrest, and fall restraint – a unique service offered through our partnership as a fall protection provider.

“Your employees’ lives are dependent on a smartly selected fall protection provider”, notes Pittner, and you’ve allowed us to continue to install our system(s) because of new equipment, or maybe a work area, or maybe you share our commitment to safety…either way, we hope you’ll continue to place the safety and security of your employees in our care”.
