Counter-Weighted Hoist Systems
Counter weighted confined space and rescue systems utilize a central base to accommodate a variety of anchoring options, positioning and adjustment legs, and extension assemblies. These systems offer multiple anchoring options, including a weight rack for counter balanced applications, and a wheel pad assembly to allow for counter balance of the unit with an attendant vehicle.

Design Considerations
The 3M DBI-SALA Confined Space Counter-Weighted Hoist System is beneficial where a fixed anchor or permanent base is impractical, because its freestanding, ballasted design can support confined-space entry, retrieval, rescue, and fall-arrest applications while remaining portable between work areas. Key design advantages include tool-free setup/dismantling, lightweight corrosion-resistant aluminum components, adjustable pole legs for positioning over varying openings, a built-in level indicator for proper setup, and counterweight retention/storage features that improve stability and jobsite organization. The system also pairs with DBI-SALA davit arms/masts and winches/SRLs, giving designers flexibility for manholes, tanks, vaults, and other confined-space access points without requiring embedded structure at every location.
